Nadine Heintz is an assistant research scholar at New York University, where she teaches in the journalism department. Before joining the
university, she was a staff writer and associate editor at Inc. magazine. Her Apprentice blog was the most popular blog on Inc.com for
several years and she was part of a team of writers nominated for a Webby Award for best business blog in 2006. In college, she spent a
semester writing movie and restaurant reviews for Footloose, an entertainment magazine based in London. After receiving her M.A. in
magazine journalism from NYU in 2000, she worked as a staff reporter and writer at Worth, a personal finance magazine. She currently lives in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, and passes by Spike Lee's production company, 40 Acres & A Mule, on the way to the subway every day.
