  "Lisa Oppenheim’s work constitutes an archaeology of visual culture. She brings the hidden, under-appreciated and repressed into view, and in the process reveals an ordering of things that goes beyond our commonplace responses. Her work ranges from damaged negatives from early 20th century news stories, personal photographs posted on ‘Flicker’ by soldiers serving in Iraq through to the constellation of the day and location of famous historical media stories."

  Lisa Oppenheim won the Illy art prize in 2007 and has shown her work widely around the globe. Recent exhibitions
  include: The Making of Americans, STORE, London; Sudden White (after London), GSK Contemporary at the Royal
  Academy of Arts, London; Quiet Politics, Zwirner & Wirth, New York and The Why of Life, Swiss Institute, New York. Lisa
  Oppenheim currently lives and works in New York.

• Punch TV Network Film Festival

  We are looking for independent, innovative film, television, music video and movie directors that would like to have a shot at broadcasting their film to our more than 480 million homes around the world.

  The chosen finalists will, then, be showcased throughout a weeklong screening on The Punch TV Network. During the screenings, viewers will be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite films via text message or online at: www.tv.punchtv.net

  At the end of the competition, winners will be announced on Punch TV Network and www.tv.punchtv.net

  Awards include: An in depth interview with winning Filmmakers featured regularly with submission on Punch TV’s November line up, International Exposure, Official Winner/Selection of the Punch Television Network Film Festival and much more!

  Unlike traditional film festivals, with limited audience participation and presentation space, Finalists will be aired on International Television and the winners are chosen, by a global audience and online community.

• Need Investor for Short Film Entry in 48 Hour Film Project

  Team for the 48 Hour Film Project loaded with talented cast and crew is in need of financial backing for additional equipment (dolly, lighting, gaff equipment) and catering. Project is being shot on a RED ONE camera. Locations are set in place.
  If interested in helping, please email me directly for more details. I can provide cast and crew list as well as current equipment list. We are in need of approximately $700 for the remainder of our equipment and catering for cast and crew.
  If you or anyone you know has contacts to or interest in investing in the production, we would greatly appreciate the help and would love to give an Associate Producer credit and potentially include some sort of product placement in the short film (T-shirt or other apparel, etc).
  48 Hour Film Project is scheduled to start Friday, June 26th at 6:30pm and ends on Sunday evening at 7:30pm.
  We will be shooting that weekend on Saturday, June 27th.
